The Kingdom of Ostgard is the Texas-based branch of the Empire of Chivalry and Steel, a not-for-profit Medieval re-enactment group. We are what is called a "Living History" organization.

The ECS is dedicated to educating the public about the various aspects of the European Middle Ages (800 A.D. to 1650 A.D.). We hold Renaissance fighting tournaments, chivalrous courts, sumptuous feasts, and an occasional dance.

While the ECS is an educational organization, we are also very much a recreational environment, a chance for one to escape the mundane (real) world and imagine themselves in a medieval environment with other like-minded individuals.
